I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I wanted to touch base as we have an exciting and busy week ahead of us. I look forward to seeing everyone at Exhibition! Please let me know if you have any questions about the schedule. Make sure to meet us in Patrick’s class at 6:20 for our concert. Work Journals are due by 4:15 on March 31st. The students have written their Concept Design Proposal, created an elevation drawing, and are half way through creating their floor plans. We have an architect guest speaker coming on Thursday and Friday this week. He is going to answer our questions about what it means to be an architect and help us get started on our models! We are beyond excited! We have a field trip to Manhattan Beach City Hall planned for March 18th. Details below: Come with us! We will be visiting the Manhattan Beach City Hall for a grand tour. We will have management, public works, and parks and recreation staff lead us and teach to us about their daily life and what makes their city work. Robin will join us on this adventure. The date is Wednesday, March 18 at 9am. The tour will be about 1 1/2 hours Manhattan Beach City Hall 1400 Highland Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 (it is about 2 1/2 miles from da Vinci). Any help would be appreciated! I wanted to include parents in all of the fun tinkering we have been doing to build our city! If you have a career or hobby that is related to building/ designing/ tinkering/ engineering/ decorating/ or if you just would like to get involved, please join us for a before school tinkering session!
